Biography

Fernando Alonso is a Spanish racing car driver. He twice won the Formula 1 World Championship (in 2005 and 2006), and had victories in the FIA World Endurance Championship (in 2019), the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2018 and 2019, and the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2019. He finished second in Formula 1 in 2010, 2012 and 2013 and third in 2007.

In Formula 1, he has raced for the Minardi team, Renault (winning those two world titles) McLaren and Scuderia Ferrari (2010-2014). In 2015 volvió a McLaren. In addition, he drove in the Indianapolis 500 in 2017 and 2019 for McLaren, in 24 Hours of Daytona in 2018 with a Ligier for United Autosports, in the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2019 with a Cadillac for Konica Minolta, in the FIA World Endurance Championship 2018-19 and in 2020 Dakar Rally for Toyota Gazoo Racing. He’s the first driver in history to be a member of the Hall of Fame twice: in two different FIA categories.
